General Dentistry
Hygiene and Exams
We see patients of all ages and offer comprehensive services to screen for dental decay, periodontal disease and oral cancer.
Here’s what you can expect when you visit our Winter Park dental office:
- Charting of all existing tooth conditions and restorations
- Screening for tooth decay and fractures
- Periodontal screening to check for signs of gum disease
- Oral cancer screening
- Occlusal and TMJ evaluation
- Digital radiographs
Digital Radiographs
A digital radiograph is a type of x-ray imaging that uses digital sensors instead of traditional film. Digital x-rays are able to better diagnose, detect, and monitor oral conditions and diseases of the teeth, gums, and bone. Digital x-rays use up to 90% less radiation than film x-rays.
Periodontal Health
Periodontal disease, or gum disease, is when harmful bacteria in the mouth damage gum tissue and result in bone loss. If left untreated it can result in tooth loss. Early detection and treatment can help you better manage your overall health. There is a link between periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and systemic disease. Our office offers scaling and root planing procedures and will work with our local Periodontist to restore you to optimal health.
Oral Cancer Screenings
During a periodic exam Dr. Williams will check your oral cavity, including the lips, cheeks, gums, tongue, floor of the mouth, and palate. She will also check your pharynx, tonsils, jaw, and neck for any lumps or abnormalities. Depending on your findings and risk factors, additional follow-up may be recommended.
Botulinum toxin for TMJ
Do you suffer from pain related to TMJ disorder, teeth grinding, jaw pain or clenching? How about headaches or migraines? Do you want to smooth away wrinkles that have developed over the years? If so, you may be a candidate for Botox injections administered by Dr. Williams. Botulinum toxin for TMJ has been used in the treatment of muscular temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) and hyperactivity of the masticatory muscles. It is used as a therapeutic option to relieve pain and relax the muscles around the mouth and jaw.
Restorative Dentistry
Resin Fillings
Dr. Williams practices mercury-free dentistry and uses tooth-colored composite resin fillings to repair decay and restore dental health.
If you have a relatively small cavity, Dr. Williams may fill it with a tooth-colored composite resin. This material is bio-compatible and durable.
Can you replace my metal fillings with tooth-colored ones? Yes! Many people ask us to replace their amalgam fillings and replace them with attractive, tooth-colored restorations.
Porcelain Fillings
Porcelain fillings are often used to restore teeth with large cavities or tooth damage. Also called inlays and onlays, these restorations are extremely durable, match existing tooth color, and protect teeth for years to come.
Porcelain Crown and Bridge
Much of our practice is devoted to advanced restorative dentistry, helping patients with cosmetic and/or functional problems like worn or missing teeth or teeth that have needed root canal treatment.
Implant Restorations
Dental implants are a more permanent solution for missing teeth. The location of the missing tooth as well as the overall health of the patient and bone structure will be evaluated. Dr. Williams will work with a local specialist who completes the surgical phase of treatment and she carries out the implant restoration in her office.
CEREC
Chairside CAD CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing) Dentistry is revolutionizing how we practice. Our CEREC improves the design and creation of dental restorations in office. It allows us to do crowns, inlays and onlays in our office same day, without a dental laboratory.

Teeth Whitening
It’s easier than ever to have a terrific smile. Every day, people just like you enhance their appearance and renew their confidence with professional teeth whitening.
Take-Home Whitening
Many patients prefer to whiten gradually. That’s why we offer take-home teeth whitening. Our team will scan your smile to create custom bleaching trays for home use. Occasional at-home touch-ups will keep your smile looking its best!
ZOOM! Whitening
Dr. Williams preps your mouth for whitening and applies a layer of advanced whitening gel to your teeth to lift stains and discolorations. To speed up the whitening process we shine our WhiteSpeed blue LED lamp on your teeth. This accelerates the whitening and creates a dazzling smile. This process is ideal for someone who wants immediate results. The lamp’s variable setting ensures you’ll have a comfortable experience. Once you have reached the desired shade we apply post-treatment gel to help protect enamel and reduce sensitivity. We give you custom-made whitening trays and professional-strength teeth whitening gel for at-home touch-ups.
Invisalign
Dr. Williams is an Invisalign provider and can straighten your teeth without wires or brackets. Invisalign uses a series of clear, customized, removable aligners to move the teeth. We start with a 3D scan and end with your beautiful, straight smile!
Veneers
A veneer is a thin shell of ceramic that covers your tooth. If you have stained, chipped, or misshapen teeth, porcelain veneers may be right for you! Cosmetic dentistry is about creating a beautiful smile and restoring health and stability.
Laser Dentistry
Our office has a soft tissue diode dental laser. Dr. Williams can use it to perform a gingivectomy, treat a cold sore, and perform other dental procedures with greater accuracy and healing time.
